D. Thaman : This past month we changed out our Hydro Ports with the new Sunstream SunPort2 from Kroeger Marine Construction and we are so very pleased! We have 2 RXT iS 260 Sea Doos that were a absolute nightmare to get off of the Hydro Ports. With a length of 139″ and 48″ wide I spent many a day pulling, tugging and pushing to try and get them… off of these platforms. With the new Sunstream SunPort2′s they are a godsend. They ease right off of the platforms and when driving upon them the hinged tail welcomes you like someone just holding the front door open for you. We just hook right up to the bow stop and voila! Another great day on Lake Keowee. We did add an extra dock cleat for extra protection when not in use and be sure to use a connector if you have more than one Sunstream SunPort2. Drive on jet ski lifts have come a long way over the 26 years that Kroeger Marine Construction has been installing boat lifts and jet ski lifts. Just in the past three years we have been very excited about the newest generation in drive on jet ski lifts. This is the Sunport 2 manufactured by Sunstream Boat lifts. This product is full of innovations that truly make a difference. Just to name a few, the pivoting tail that dips gently down will smoothly guide you onboard the lift verses the typical sharp angle up and belly flop down. Also included are things like a dual roller system for easy loading and unloading, bow stop for safety and a longer platform to stand on to reach both ends of your ski for covering. First Lake Keowee Boat show

Wanted to pass on some thoughts about the first Lake Keowee In Water Boat show. Keowee Marina did a great job hosting this first time show. Kroeger Marine was there with a full size boat dock and a SunStream drive on jet ski lift. We were joined by several local Boat dealers and associated vendors. We had beautiful weather Saturday with a great turnout of Lake Keowee and Lake Hartwell boaters.

Since the show, Keowee Marina has had meetings with participants listening and gathering their input for the next show. If you attended the show or just have comments, please feel free to pass them on.

For anyone that is in the Boat, Jet ski or Boat Dock market it doesn’t get any better than this. This allows you to not only look at but also to water test all of the major boats on the market. in one location.

We will let you know when the next show is scheduled. The is a show that will continue to improve each year and is sure to become a solid resource for lake front living.

So we just signed up for WordPress, and there are so many new things going on here!

To start off, we just installed a new dock yesterday! Check it out, and tell us how it looks:

In Lake Keowee news….On March 1st, a moratorium went into place effecting Lake Keowee and all environmental zones (IMZ Zones). No shoreline can be stabilized until July 1st. To see if you are in an IMZ zone enter your address here, and if your shoreline is labeled as “Impact Minimization Zones“ or “Environmental“ you are in an IMZ classified zone. If you want a copy of Duke Energy’s Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) visit their website here, or call us and we can answer all your questions.

We are very excited about a new form of erosion control, called “Soft-Engineering” or Green Erosion Control. It has some great built-in features like: natural noise reducer, filtration and it is not harmful to wildlife. This is available for use on Lake Hartwell.
